Mr. Haynam has served as the GM at Anderson since 2005. He has been with Anderson as its predecessor entity since 1980, starting his HVAC career at Anderson as an apprentice installer, then transitioning to a lead installer, then to sales and sales manager, and then to GM. Mr. Haynam has received Tech-1 certification and training from Carrier and studied HVAC at Mt. San Antonio College. He holds a C-20 license in California and Nevada, has expertise in sales, service, preventive maintenance, plan and spec construction and design-build work. He has been married for 28 years, with four children and one granddaughter. He enjoys riding dirt bikes, playing golf, serving at his church and spending time with family.
During Mr. Hoover's 30-year employment with AMS, He has worked as a field tech, labor supervisor, project manager and general manager in all aspects of the Plumbing / HVAC trades and holds multiple masters' licenses. On his time off he enjoys time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. He also enjoys working in his garage on classic cars and anything else mechanical.
Mr. Johnson was named Assistant GM of the Houston office in January of 2022 then subsequently became General Manager in January 2023. He started with AMS in 2011 as a Project Manager/Estimator working on some of the office's largest account. Mr. Johnson's career began as an engineer in the auto industry moving to power generation then eventually general contracting. In his role at the general contractor, Mr. Johnson became acquainted with AMS and eventually took an open position in the Houston office. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a Master's Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Engineering Science (Management of Technology). He also holds a State of Texas Class “A” mechanical license with endorsement for both comfort cooling and refrigeration. With over 30 years of HVAC industry experience, Jake Kelley brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the General Manager role. His extensive background includes many years successfully operating his family's residential HVAC business. Jake joined ACA in 2022 as a dedicated service technician, quickly demonstrating his expertise and leadership potential, and swiftly advanced to service manager before being promoted to GM in May 2025. He is a highly credentialed professional, holding numerous certifications and licenses. When not leading the team at ACA, Jake is devoted to his family. He has been happily married for 24 years and is the proud father of five grown children and two beloved granddaughters. A true enthusiast for all things mechanical, he also loves to spend his free time outdoors, enjoying watersports and off-roading. Jake is deeply committed to his faith, his family, and giving back to his community through volunteer efforts.
Mr. Knight has served as the GM at Tri-Pacific for 10 years. He has been with AMS for 16 years and has worked in the HVAC industry for 31 years. He currently holds a C-20 Contractors License with the State of California. Mr. Knight has expertise in design-build work, large commercial applications and is capable of handling most any size commercial HVAC project. He enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf, surfing and family time, especially with his 4 sons.
Mr. Lepak has been the GM at Southcoast since 2011. He has been with AMS for 12 years, previously working at the Anderson location. Mr. Lepak has been in the HVAC industry for 15 years. He specializes in new construction (plan and spec), retrofit and construction, as well as replacements of chillers, cooling towers, boilers, roof top units as well as split systems. He also has extensive experience providing HVAC air conditioning for the telecom industry in the form of split systems and/or wall mount units in order to cool the equipment serving the cell tower, as well as handling residential needs including but not limited to replacing existing equipment and/or designing a new system for an existing or new custom home.
Mr. Nuñez was named GM of the Dallas office in October of 2013. He has been in the HVAC industry for more than 18 years, starting his tenure with AMS in Houston in 2000. He spent 13 years in sales and account management. While in Houston, he sold HVAC maintenance, equipment replacement and service/repair agreements. His primary focus was on hospitals and medical facilities throughout The Texas Medical Center. Mr. Nuñez sold light commercial HVAC equipment for 5 years prior to joining AMS. He received his Bachelor's of Business Administration with a Minor in Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He is married and has two children.
Mr. Sweetser has been with AMS Denver for over 27 years. He began his career with AMS as a Delivery Driver and soon transitioned into the field as a HVAC Apprentice Technician. After completing the 5-year apprenticeship he became a Journeyman Technician. In 2007 Mr. Sweetser accepted a Service Manager position with AMS and held that until 2019 when he was promoted to General Manager of the Denver office. He carries all state and local municipality licensing and an ICC Master Mechanical designation. Mr. Sweetser has expertise in commercial building HVAC systems which includes technical resourcing, repair, management, budgeting and sales. He is very proud of his roots and all the positions he has held with AMS. Mr. Sweetser is a devoted family man and enjoys spending his time off camping, fishing and in the outdoors.
Mr. Thomas was named GM of the Colorado Springs office in August of 2017. He has been with AMS since 2000 and has worked in the HVAC industry for more than 25 years. His career started as a helper/installer in Northern Michigan. After moving to Colorado in 1993 he continued with installation and completed 4 years as a sheet metal apprentice through Pikes Peak Community College. After completing his apprenticeship he then transitioned into a Journeyman Service Technician position advancing into commercial HVAC. While employed at AMS he has held positions from Journeyman Technician to Service Manager, then Project Manager and now General Manager. He has a diverse background in service, sales, preventative maintenance, retrofit and replacement, plan and spec construction and design build projects. His free time is spent thinking about snowmobiling, talking about snowmobiling, planning snowmobile trips, and actually snowmobiling.
Mr. Wiljer joined AMS in California, moving to the Indianapolis office to manage field operations. Later he moved to the General Manager position.
Mr. Dunn has served as the CEO of AMS since 2006. Prior to 2006, he served as President of AMS for 10 years under the ServiceMaster company umbrella. Mr. Dunn founded EMD Mechanical in 1985, which later became one of the first companies acquired to begin the formation of AMS as it exists today. He has been a key executive on the AMS management team since its inception, and has been in the HVAC and construction industry for over 33 years. Mr. Dunn received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. He enjoys deep sea fishing and spending time with his wife and children.
Mr. McCrossan has been with AMS collectively for over 20 years. He previously served as the Controller for the Maryland office, joining the corporate office in 2007 and being elevated to CFO in 2009. Mr. McCrossan has over 30 years of industry experience and over 25 years experience serving as a Controller and/or CFO. He received his BS from the University of Maryland Business School and passed the Maryland CPA exam in 1995. Mr. McCrossan enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, two daughters and son.
Mr. Gazan joined AMS in September of 2014, when he accepted the position as Corporate Controller. His previous 11 years of work experience was with a national public accounting firm and controller at a local construction company. He received his B.S. in Accounting and Business Management from West Virginia University and passed the CPA exam in 2009. Mr. Gazan enjoys spending his free time with his family.
Angie joined American Mechanical Services as the Human Resources Director in April 2025, bringing with her 15 years of experience in the HR field. Throughout her career, she has primarily worked in the technology sector. Angie lives in Maryland with her husband and three sons. Outside of work, she enjoys watching her children play sports and spending time with her family at the beach.
Mr. Collier joined the AMS Corporate Office in March of 2019, as the Corporate Safety Director. Previously he had been with Anderson Air Conditioning, LP, an AMS office located in Fullerton, California, overseeing construction health and safety since 2016. He is a US Army veteran and proudly served with the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment for 6 years. He has his credentials from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals for Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST). In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Mr. Starr came to AMS in 2007. He has worked in IT since he started programming professionally at the age of 15. His education includes a B.S. in Computer Science and an MBA with an emphasis in Management Information Systems, both from the University of Missouri. Mr. Starr has worked on systems ranging from the mainframe databases and security at Chevron, down to mobile devices. He currently holds eleven Microsoft certifications including: Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional - Enterprise Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and mulitple Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certificates. He is happily married with an adult son and daughter.
